Abstract: The golden sectioning of Plato’s Divided Line solves several Platonic puzzles: the mystery of the intermediate “mathematicals”; the “worst difficulty argument” of the Parmenides that the Intelligible realm is unknowable because disconnected from the Sensible realm; the nature of the missing triangle in Timaeus; and the nature of the Greater and Lesser of the Indefinite Dyad.
Keywords: Plato, Golden Section, Indefinite Dyad, Greater and Lesser, continuous geometric proportion, worst difficulty argument, dodecahedron, Sayre Challenge.
