Abstract: The history of symmetry and group theory has been written about in numerous books and in thousands of academic papers. A timeline approach to the development of symmetry makes possible a graphical presentation of notable scientists, concepts and publications in a chronological form. A timeline allows viewers to appreciate the development of symmetry in multiple fields during the same period.
Keywords: timeline, time-map, history of symmetry, development of symmetry.
