TYPES OF SYMMETRY IN THE EMBROIDERY FROM SOFIA REGION, BULGARIA

Abstract: The embroideries from Sofia region are always arranged according to the laws of symmetry. Several varieties in the compositions are used, among them are dominant straight, mirror and cruciform symmetry patterns. Rotational four-fold symmetry is rare.
